Mother Sheep with Newborn Lamb
This lamb was less than a week old. He was still very wobbly when getting up and his skin hung like a too big coat waiting to be grown in to.

Thank you Gill. Appreciate the visit and comment. It really was a special treat to photograph this lamb in its first week of life.
What a lovely tender moment you have captured!
Joni, I have such a soft heart when it comes to animals of the 4 legged kind - you've captured perfectly the depiction of the inherent kindness that mothers of all species have for their young. Going right into my fav collection.
Thanks so much Rene. This was a particularly precious moment to witness. You should check out Bill Lea Photography on Facebook. Bill specializes in bears and posts the Most wonderful and amazing photos of mothers and their Cubs. He also tells the stories of these bears who frequent a bears sanctuary in Montana that he spends a good deal of time at. I have really enjoyed his posts.
Thanks Sandra. Had such a fun time watching this little one. When he finally got up on his feet, he looked like he had on an oversized hand-me-down coat from big brother he needed to grow in to. Too cute!
I love sheep, this is precious Joni! A f/l too.
