Thanks Jamie. I'm watching two of these little guys in my yard this very moment ferreting out seeds on the ground the other birds have knocked out of the feeders. However, I have also watched while the chipmunks imitated their larger rodent relatives, the squirrels, scampering up the hanging poles all the way up to the feeders. I don't know how they manage, but they're quite resourceful. I have some pics I may post of the chipmunk sitting in the safflower feeder with both cheeks nearly bursting with seeds. Last fall I watched him do this over and over - fill his cheek pouches, scamper down the pole, hide his seed and come back for more! Love watching all God's critters!
