Cruising on a small boat in Kenai Fjords National Park near Seward, Alaska. To understand scale, those evergreen trees behind the glassy smooth water in the foreground are not shrubs! They are full grown tall scrub pines. Such an amazing place!

Hope you get that chance Marvin. It is an amazing place. We spent two weeks and barely scratched the surface. Saw so many more places we wanted to explore. Domed train travel was wonderful. If you cruise highly recommend popping for a balcony room - best extra money we spent. Kenai Fjords was an amazing place as was cruising through Glacier Bay and riding through Denali. If you go in spring or wait til August, you should avoid the hordes of mosquitos. We went in July - lots of Off required!

Natural beauty that is hard to beat, Joni; this is amazing & wonderful. We'll be in Switzerland again, soon; will be seeing the mountaintops there (different than our own Rockies); have yet to see Alaska & its beauty (it's on the list!) :))

Thanks Connie. Alaska was an amazing place to visit and someplace I'd like to go back to. Switzerland would be great too! Hope you have a great trip. I'd love to come to Canada as well. I've seen so many beautiful pictures, it makes me want to visit. The natural world around us is such an amazing place. Beauty all around - even in my backyard ( : Thanks for the visit Connie.
