We started out our bus trip through Denali National Park in Alaska in heavy fog and light rain. It being the only day we would have in Denali, I was apprehensive about whether the day would turn out to be a disappointment. I needn't have worried. The fog made for some great shots at lower elevations, and as we moved further into the park and higher in elevation, the fog began to burn off - but the low hanging clouds made for some wonderful images I may have missed had the weather been fairer that morning.
This was one of those shots you see on someone else's web site or in a book or video - the tips of the mountains lost in cloud. How thrilling to be in a place to actually see it and shoot it myself!

It absolutely was, Lisa. I got some amazing pictures that would not have been nearly as dramatic had the fog not been there. It really turned out to be a good thing!
