This white tail deer was, like us, taking an afternoon stroll in McDowell Grove Forest Preserve in Naperville, Illinois. We got to enjoy her company for several minutes before she scurried off at the sound of excited children.

Thanks so much, Linda. Yes! This was a very exciting encounter. A deer shot had been long on my list, with a few shots - but none I thought particularly worthy of sharing. This day, however, it was so pretty in the woods and she so nicely gave me a quick shot in the midst of the green grass and purple flowers. Made my day!
