Grabbed my camera and the dog; went walking on a brisk January day with a bright blue sky. It was only 3:45 in the afternoon, but the moon shown brightly in the sky. The large, bright moon looked so out of place in that crisp blue afternoon sky. It felt very otherwordly.
Beauty is everywhere. Sometimes it hits you in the face; you can't miss it. Other times, you have to go looking for it. But always, no matter where you are, you can find something of beauty. I love the grand landscape, the engaging smile, the cute baby. But even more, I love to find the beauty in the ordinary; the mundane; the thing you just walked past without a glance. If I can make you reconsider; to think about the magnificence of the ordinary - that makes me happy.

Thanks Connie. I don't think I'd ever noticed this phenomenon of blue sky and big clear moon before. Funny how you notice so much more of the beauty around you when you take up photography.
