Every spring this park that boasts an annual Lilac Festival, fills the air with the wonderful fragrance of lilacs and dazzles the eye with dozens of lilac trees and thousands of tulips and other spring flowers. Truly a delight for the senses.
Beauty is everywhere. Sometimes it hits you in the face; you can't miss it. Other times, you have to go looking for it. But always, no matter where you are, you can find something of beauty. I love the grand landscape, the engaging smile, the cute baby. But even more, I love to find the beauty in the ordinary; the mundane; the thing you just walked past without a glance. If I can make you reconsider; to think about the magnificence of the ordinary - that makes me happy.

Connie, I believe you! I once sent a colored drawing of flowers to a friend in a faraway city and she reported back that a friend came into her room and said 'What a lovely smell of flowers' - but that she had no flowers in her house. :-)

I do not doubt the powerful abilities our minds were created with. I think we do not know but a fraction of those capabilities. I am quite familiar with fragrances bringing back incredibly vivid remembrances and emotions. It is but a short jump to the visual bringing back the olfactory. Creation is amazing; much more so, the Creator!
