Artist's Description
Visiting South Mountains State Park in Connelly Springs, North Carolina the river was certainly not rushing - more ambling in the heat of the day - but the sunlight streaming through the trees onto the rocks and southern clay made for a golden afteroon hike.
About Joni Eskridge
Beauty is everywhere. Sometimes it hits you in the face; you can't miss it. Other times, you have to go looking for it. But always, no matter where you are, you can find something of beauty. I love the grand landscape, the engaging smile, the cute baby. But even more, I love to find the beauty in the ordinary; the mundane; the thing you just walked past without a glance. If I can make you reconsider; to think about the magnificence of the ordinary - that makes me happy.

Thanks Marvin! I was disappointed in the water flow this trip, but loved the sunlight on that southern clay!
