Love the topic, but the skill of presentation and clarity of image is the most striking topic here. Seriously well done image.
Joni Eskridge replied:
Thanks so much Skip. I really enjoyed shooting on this fall day. It couldn't make up its mind whether it was a clear day with blue skies, or rainy with dark storm clouds - perfect for shooting. I love the fog shrouding the ship. I took a bunch of shots waiting for a giant crashing wave. It never got as big as I would have liked, but I wasn't too unhappy. I think they were having trouble moving the ships in and out because there were a bunch stacked up in the area. Made for an interesting walk along the beach. Thanks for the visit and generous comments.

Love this Joni, there's such a sense of space in it and those heavy clouds give it great atmosphere.

Such beauty of the sea and brave people that sail on them!! L/F
Joni Eskridge replied:
Thanks Marvin. I do love the ocean - especially watching dramatic waves and sky, but having to sail through those dramatic waves is another matter! Even those big ships - they're just a speck compared to the vastness of the ocean.
