Description
Why is it that tree roots turn into feet magnets when you're walking in the woods? Walking on this beautiful fall day in Starved Rock State Park in Utical, Illinois, the tree roots were plentiful and I had to keep vigil to avoid becoming one with the path. It seemed appropriate that I memorialize that which kept me watching my feet as I walked through the beautiful wooded landscape.

Joni! It's takes a true artistic eye to see the beauty along the forest floor with an array of pine needles and tree roots. Beautiful composition but you always do and wonderful find. :-) Maggie

Oh Maggie, you made my day! Thank you for the kind words. This is one of my favorite images. It reminds me of life - gotta watch where you're walking : )
