Description
Walking through Morton Arboretum in Lisle, Illinois one fall afteroon, I came across this brilliant red stand of Sumac trees surrounded by yellow cottonwoods and goldenrod gone to seed. With a pale blue sky and the soft afternoon light filtering through the trees as well as the afternoon shadows, it made for a pleasant fall landscape.
