Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Artist's Description

On an early December day I drove down to the shore of the Mississippi River outside of Galena, Illinois. The sky was overcast and full of dark clouds, but the late afternoon sun was peeking through, pouring it's light along the edge of the river, in a game of shadows and light with the clouds above. In the background, the local ski hill rises - the only sign of the snow that fell just that morning. The widenes of the river can be felt as you look to the opposite shore way in the distance.

Beauty is everywhere. Sometimes it hits you in the face; you can't miss it. Other times, you have to go looking for it. But always, no matter where you are, you can find something of beauty. I love the grand landscape, the engaging smile, the cute baby. But even more, I love to find the beauty in the ordinary; the mundane; the thing you just walked past without a glance. If I can make you reconsider; to think about the magnificence of the ordinary - that makes me happy.
