Description
Driving home from Galena, Illinois in late October, I spied this lone tree in the middle of a cornfield. It was a day with beautiful cloud cover and I enjoyed the shape of this lonley tree whose leaves had blown to the four winds of fall.
I chose to remove the color, except for a bit of a blue hue, and add a dark vignette to focus on the beautiful lone tree surrounded by clouds and harvested corn stalks - a typical sight on a fall afternoon in midwest farm country.

Sorry for your loss Michel. Living in the US Midwest, I do get a chance to see rural farm country quite a bit. It keeps me sane after traveling into the city every weekday and living in a busy suburb. These singular trees left in the fields are a favorite find. Thanks for the visit Michel!
