WOAH! What a find we don't get those very often where I live in AZ.
Joni Eskridge replied:
Thanks so much, Ruth. I don't see a lot of dragonflies - and definitely not many colorful ones. This was definitely a fun find on a hike I took not knowing what to expect. The wind made it hard to fly, I'm sure - which was helpful to me, since dragonflies always seem to move way too fast for a good, sharp capture.

Superb capture, Joni!
Joni Eskridge replied:
Thanks Debra! It was so windy and that grass was really swaying wildly. Wasn't sure I'd be able to get a reasonably sharp shot - but fortunately it was a sunny day, so I had plenty of light for a high shutter speed.
