Beauty is everywhere. Sometimes it hits you in the face; you can't miss it. Other times, you have to go looking for it. But always, no matter where you are, you can find something of beauty. I love the grand landscape, the engaging smile, the cute baby. But even more, I love to find the beauty in the ordinary; the mundane; the thing you just walked past without a glance. If I can make you reconsider; to think about the magnificence of the ordinary - that makes me happy.

So adorable, Joni. I've never seen gull chicks before. Great shot. l/fv/g+
Joni Eskridge replied:
This was such a great excursion on our Alaska trip, Helen. I used a 100-400mm lens at 400mm - could have used a smidge more for some shots, but they took our small boat fairly close to a large rock formation covered with gulls and their baby chicks, as well as Puffins (no chicks) and Common Murre. It was wonderful!

Absolutely beautiful wildlife picture Joni, you have captured the moment so well. l,f.
Joni Eskridge replied:
Thanks so much, Jeff! Our boat excursion in Kenai Fjords was probably the highlight of our Alaska trip - though it's had to pick just one - but the variety of wildlife on that one excursion was the best, and I really enjoyed seeing this huge cliff of gulls and chicks! Thanks for the visit, Jeff!
