Description
Staying in the Galena area in early December, a light snow fell in the morning. I grabbed my camera and headed out in search of some nice scenery. I came across this peaceful landscape scene with the light snow cover; the narrow country road and a farm with a red barn down around the bend. Though the snow was lighter than I would have liked, it still reminded me of a country Christmas cards. Thanks Doug! Galena is one of our favorite places to visit. Not crazy about Illinois - more a mountain kinda girl. Galena gives you a chance to pretend you're someplace with at least big hills and rolling landscape - and I do like farmland; which there's plenty of. The Mississippi River isn't bad, either! Thanks for the visit.
