Visiting the Danada Forest Preserve in Wheaton, Illinois, on a windy summer day, I saw this beautiful horse in the stable. The light from the mid-afternoon sun reflected off the horse's coat and the stable gate, while the afternoon wind stirred up a dusty haze.

Beauty is everywhere. Sometimes it hits you in the face; you can't miss it. Other times, you have to go looking for it. But always, no matter where you are, you can find something of beauty. I love the grand landscape, the engaging smile, the cute baby. But even more, I love to find the beauty in the ordinary; the mundane; the thing you just walked past without a glance. If I can make you reconsider; to think about the magnificence of the ordinary - that makes me happy.

Ha...sometimes its good not to listen to one's husband ;-)
Joni Eskridge replied:
Yes, lol! We often have creative differences. But there's are times when he makes good suggestions, so I need to keep an open mind ; O

The dust and the sun makes it so very beautiful dear Joni !! Thank you for visiting my work today :)
Joni Eskridge replied:
It was my pleasure, as always, to visit your work, Michel! Yes! It was exactly the dust and sunlight that drew me into this picture. My husband thought it a throw away shot - but I could not. The dust and light to me, made something beautiful, from something very ordinary. Thanks for the visit, Michel.
