Decided to take a couple of shots of flowers I got for Mother's Day from my youngest, and go abstract. I liked the light coming into the window when I took this, but the flower (I think it is a variation of the Chrysathemum) had gotten a little crushed together and misshaped. When editing, I loved the colors, so I took them into Photoshop to see what I could come up with. While in my younger years, I wasn't a big abstract fan, I have grown to really appreciate light and color and texture as the subject. It adds pops of color and is often soothing or evocative. Would be great for any room at home or at the office.

Beauty is everywhere. Sometimes it hits you in the face; you can't miss it. Other times, you have to go looking for it. But always, no matter where you are, you can find something of beauty. I love the grand landscape, the engaging smile, the cute baby. But even more, I love to find the beauty in the ordinary; the mundane; the thing you just walked past without a glance. If I can make you reconsider; to think about the magnificence of the ordinary - that makes me happy.
