While hiking in Casper Bluff in the Galena area one windy summer day, found this beautiful Widow Skimmer - (Libellula luctuosa) dragonfly hanging on for dear life as the tall grass whipped back and forth.

Thank you Connie. I was very intrigued. I had never seen a dragonfly with double wings. I have to say that picking up a camera has certainly broadened my horizons. The hardest part of this shot was getting decent sharpness on such a windy day!
