Description
Backyard Birds: I was tracking this female Baltimore Oriole in my backyard. She flew up and perched in the Cottonwood tree. I was able to get a number of fast clicks while she lingered. But it wasn't until later, when I downloaded the images, I realized that she had, in the space of those few moments, reached out and nabbed a bee for her breakfast. Since she barely moved from her spot during the whole series of shots, she was one fast bee catcher!

Terrific capture, Joni! Love how the colors blend so well in this image.
Joni Eskridge replied:
Thanks so much, Sharon! I was just hoping to get a decent shot of her up in the tree instead of at the feeder, and instead was treated to this! Was a thrill for this backyard bird watcher.
