Description
After spending an hour or so at Lido Beach in Sarasota, Florida on a hot summer's day walking the shoreline and photographing the shore birds, the clouds started to roll in. I made my way back towards where my car was parked as the sky turned darker and darker, and the wind picked up. This mesmirizing cloud formation was the last glance at Lido before escaping to my waiting car.

That's a scary looking cloud over the beach - well captured, Joni! l/f
Joni Eskridge replied:
Thankfully it was more bark than bite. It was, as Tery said, ominous looking. Thanks for your comment, Kay!

What an ominous feeling there is to this!
Joni Eskridge replied:
Yes, Terry, there were moments when I wondered if we stayed too long at the beach! Fortunately, it didn't turn out to be nearly as bad as it looked ( :

Joni Eskridge replied:
Yeah, this one made me wonder if I'd stayed a bit too long - but just got wet. I really enjoyed the clouds in the Sarasota area. All that moisture in the air makes for some great formations. Thanks for the visit Marvin!
