Your choice to remove the color adds a dreamy look with a little touch of solitude. l/v/f

Joni Eskridge replied:

Thank you James. There are some steps built into the side of this pond where you can sit and take in this view and contemplate life. It is a wonderful and peaceful place to spend time.

A very pleasing image where the sepia actually adds to a scenic. This one has it all, congratulations.

Joni Eskridge replied:

Thanks Skip. I did about 4 versions of this shot with color, duo tone variations, pure black and white and the sepia shown here. This was the one that won my heart. I think because it was early spring and you can't really tell if it's spring or fall, it helps to take the color out of it and just focus on the shapes of the trees and the reflection in the water. Glad you enjoyed it.

A stunningly beautiful picture,Joni.

Joni Eskridge replied:

Thanks so much, Jeff. This one hangs over my fireplace as a reminder of a beautiful day for a walk in the woods and my first sighting of muskrat love on the pond. It took quite some time to get The Captain & Tennille out of my head ( ; Thanks for the visit!

Thank you Mah for the visit, and taking the time to comment. This is a good place to spend a peaceful afternoon with several ponds, lots of woods, and lots of birds. This day was a particularly beautiful one.
