Having moved from Illinois to North Carolina last summer, we decided we didn't want to mow grass. When we had landscaping done, I asked for a wildflower meadow in the back yard, instead of grass. While it is not yet a dense wildflower meadow, it is producing some tiny blooms with big beauty. The Cosmos is the biggest of the flowers so far blooming in my meadow.
Beauty is everywhere. Sometimes it hits you in the face; you can't miss it. Other times, you have to go looking for it. But always, no matter where you are, you can find something of beauty. I love the grand landscape, the engaging smile, the cute baby. But even more, I love to find the beauty in the ordinary; the mundane; the thing you just walked past without a glance. If I can make you reconsider; to think about the magnificence of the ordinary - that makes me happy.
